Garnet sand is grinded with garnet as raw material. It is characterized by high hardness, high temperature resistance, stable chemical properties, uniform particles, high grinding efficiency, and no scratches. Suitable for water jet cutting industry; Various metal, plastic, wood and other surface sandblasting industries; Super precision grinding, precision casting and grinding of picture tube glass shell, optical glass and silicon wafer in mechanical industry.
1) It is hard, with Mohs hardness above 7.1, which is higher than the commonly used sand blasting materials such as quartz sand, sea sand and river sand, and has a long service life.
2) Because garnet is a crystal of equiaxed crystal system and has no cleavage, it is easy to form cube like particles with edges and corners after it is made into sandblasting, and its sandblasting effect is better. It can not only completely remove the rust, oxide skin, coating and its pollutants on the metal surface, but also can produce an ideal angular rough surface on the cleaned metal surface due to its high hardness, which increases the surface area of the metal, improves the adhesion of the interface, significantly enhances the adhesion between the corrosion resistant protective coating and the metal surface, thus improving the adhesion between the coating and the metal surface.
3) High density, usually 4g/cm ³ Left and right, strong impact, can better clean the metal surface.
4) It has high strength, and is not easy to break when meeting the metal surface during spraying. After timely breaking, it will produce new particles with edges and corners that are similar to cubes. Therefore, it can be used repeatedly, generally up to more than 20 times. It is 20 times as much as siliceous sand (sea sand or river sand) and more than 2 times as much as quartz sand (artificial sand). The relative cost of using it once is low.
